TÜV SÜD's annual results announced

In fiscal 2006, TÜV SÜD achieved its fourth consecutive record result: while consolidated sales rose by 13 per cent to € 1.168 billion (Rupees 66.38 billion), pre-tax profits again increased by 14 per cent to € 126.2 million (Rupees 7.17 billion).

TÜV SÜD, the highest-revenue TÜV organization currently generates a quarter of its consolidated sales outside its domestic market. Sales growth was especially high in the Americas and Asia, with sales rising by 50 and 72 per cent respectively.

TÜV SÜD South Asia's annual turnover was up 90% in 2006 with an annual turnover of Rupees 31.28 crores, as compared to a turnover of Rs 16.47 in 2005. "We have grown at a tremendous pace in the last year with no compromise on quality. Our workforce and portfolio of services have increased tremendously, and we have also inaugurated our textile and food testing laboratories. Our growth has definitely been in keeping with India's growth" said Ishan Palit, Managing Director of TÜV SÜD South Asia.
