Established in the year 1870 as a steam boiler inspection association, the group is now a globally active future-oriented company. It has transformed from a technical inspectorate, committed to the minimisation of technical risks, to a service provider.

With its headquarters in Munich, Germany, it is represented internationally by more than 600 locations and employs over 13,300 highly qualified engineers and professionals with extensive technical knowledge. Our teams of specialists are engaged in optimizing technology, systems and know-how, and thus act as process partners, enhancing the competitive strength of our customers throughout the world. In 2006 the combined revenue of all its business divisions amounted to Euro1.168 billion.
