Through its laboratories in Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai and Tirupur TÃœV SÃœD South Asia provides a range of softlines (textile) testing services. The objective is to ensure safety, performance and legality of various softlines (textile) products as per national and international standards such as ISO, AATCC, CAN, DIN, etc. The main scope can be classified into:

• Regulatory Testing (fiber label recommendation, care label recommendation, flammability)
• Quality and Performance Testing (colour fastness, dimensional stability, physical evaluation, fiber analysis, tensile and seam strength, social property, wash care label verification)
• Ecological Testing (banned amines, extractable heavy metals, cadmium, PVC, lead, pH, pentachlorophenol, formaldehyde, nickel, allergic & carcinogenic properties, phthalates)

Tests can be conducted on yarn, fabrics, garments, accessories, decorative materials, fashion articles, home furnishings, footwear, leather and leather articles.
